Every year, the Cheltenham Festival brings together some of the best racehorses and jockeys to Prestbury Park to compete for highest horse racing honors and huge prize money. It is going to be a big occasion this year as well. Trainers Paul Nicholls, Colin Tizzard and Pat Kelly are running their best horses for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. For those looking for a great alternative to our U.S. horse racing tips, it's a must see.

1- Presenting Percy
Presenting Percy is one of the top favorites to win this year's Cheltenham Gold Cup. He has been trained by Pat Kelly who has a great success story of his own. About two years back, his yard had less than seven horses but now he will be heading towards Cheltenham with a hot favorite racehorse for the cup. As a trainer, Pat Kelly has already won the Pertemps Hurdle twice.
PRESENTING PERCY hasn't been featured in any race since his victory in last year's RSA Novices Chase. However, the manner of his victory in that race was quite something to behold. He had claimed that race to his name by an amazing seven lengths. PRESENTING PERCY was expected to be featured at Leopardstown for the Savills Chase but Pat Kelly decided, in the end, to run him for the upcoming Cheltenham Gold Cup. He had shown his reservations about the Leopardstown ground by saying: "The ground on the chase course is being described as good, yielding in places, and we'd like to see it slower than that."
2- Native River
Last year, NATIVE RIVER outpaced MIGHT BITE (King Goerge winner) after a fierce competition to lift the Cheltenham Gold Cup. He is eying towards winning this year's trophy as well. With PRESENTING PERCY and CLAN DES OBEAUX also competing, the race is going to be more challenging for him yet he is capable of producing great quality at the biggest stage.
If he manages to pull off such a feat, then he would be among the ranks of BEST MATE and KAUTO STAR. KAUTO STAR registered two Gold Cups in 3 years while BEST MATE won 3 consecutive Gold Cups in 2004. The task at hand is difficult but it certainly is do-able.
NATIVE RIVER has already won many trophies for his trainer Colin Tizzard who is well-known as one of the top National Hunt trainers. In the 2016-17 season, he won the Hennessy Gold Cup, the Denman Chase as well as the Welsh Grand National while finishing third in that year's Cheltenham Gold Cup. The only concerning thing is that his recent display in King George VI Chase wasn't up to the par. At Kempton Park, he finished after CLAN DES OBEAUX and THISTLECRACK who both are competing for the Gold Cup this season.
3- Clan Des Obeaux
CLAN DES OBEAUX is being discussed as one of the top contenders for the upcoming Cheltenham Gold Cup. He will be competing against racehorses like Native River and Thistlecrack, both of whom were beaten by him recently in King George VI Chase.
He has been trained by Paul Nicholls who needs no introduction for any racing fans. The legendary trainer has already 4 Cheltenham Gold Cups to his name as well as the 2012 Grand National.
Have a blessed day and good luck at the races.
