Trainer Gary Moore is hoping to avoid having to pit stablemates GOSHEN and BOTOX HAS against each other during next year's Cheltenham Festival.
The event, one of the most prestigious races on the National Hunt racing calendar, usually takes place in March and its prize pool is only second to the Grand National, which follows in the next month. With four days of racing and seven races per day, there's plenty to take in when it comes around on a yearly basis, which makes for good times for punters.
Having started out as a two-day event, it has grown twofold and can entertain fans for a longer period, with the Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother Champion Chase, Stayer's Hurdle and Triumph Hurdle among the more popular races.
Moore's BOTOX HAS is currently 20/1 for the Triumph Hurdle on Friday 13th March with Bet365 and the bookmaker has GOSHEN down as the favorite at 6/1. The trainer isn't all that excited about having the horses race each other and recently admitted that he would have them run different races if it were all up to him but knows that the choice ultimately belongs to the owner.
"I would like to but it's the owner's prerogative," he said, per The Mirror. "If they both have to run in the same race then they have to do it but it's not something I'd be keen on doing. There's a lot of nice young horses to come out yet."
Moore blamed headwind for the market leader wandering on the run-in at the Cheltenham opener, in which he finished five lengths ahead.
"As you saw all he does is stay really," he added. "To go and win five lengths when you're only a length down at the last proves he's just an out and out galloper.
"I do feel he's a better horse coming off a strong pace. They are two very nice juveniles."
GOSHEN is tipped to gallop to Triumph Hurdle victory at the moment, with MICRO MANAGE, CERBERUS and TRUESHAN all in behind at 14/1 with Bet365. Fans could also get the scoop on all of the latest Bet365 Cheltenham offers for 2020 from freebets.uk.
Meanwhile, PADDY POWER have ALLMANKIND at 16/1 and have attached odds of 20/1 to both ASPIRE TOWER and A WAVE OF SEA. GIN ON LIME is 25/1 with Ladbrokes, who have EMINENT AUTHORITY at 33/1 while Skybet is offering the same on GRAND ROI.
Fans keen on betting on the Gold Cup could find 7/2 odds on LOSTINTRANSLATION from Bet365. The sportsbook has 5/2 going on KEMBOY with AL BOUM PHOTO next up at 7/1 and SANTINI at 10/1. PRESENTING PERCY is also 10/1, ahead of the 16/1 NATIVE RIVER. LOSTINTRANSLATION has been the popular bet so far, overwhelmingly so, with Oddschecker data having revealed that 28.72 percent of all bets on this race have been placed on the seven-year-old. KEMBOY is the closest at just 12.77 percent.
The Cheltenham Festival kicks off on March 10 and will come to a close on March 14 but, until then, there will be plenty of action to catch elsewhere and you could get a hold of tip sheets for several upcoming races right here.
Have a blessed day and good luck at the races.
